  I've always looked forward to performances on
or around Valentine's Day.  One my one hand, I'm
a total softy and sucker for sweetness and 
romance.  Nothing scratches that itch like a 
good soaking in sentimentality.  On my other hand, 
I love lurid melodramas or twisted cynical 
tragedies where nobody makes good decisions and 
everyone comes to their grief in the final act.  
So for my Valentines sets, I wallow in both, often
leaving it up to those listening which way to go
in any given moment. This set totally reflected
that fractured aesthetic, with some great choices,
old favourites, some deep dives into obscure corners
of the repertoire, and great requests from many 
vectors

  It was great company and a lot of fun.
