Highlights (at least for me) included a handful of
celebrations in song of some excellent artist/musician
that I admire and respect, whose birthdays were imminent:
Elvis
Sandy Deny
Jimmy Page
Jeff Lynne
David Bowie

The fact that these artists are all fellow Capricorns
has me beaming with pride and aspiration!

There were a couple of "debuts" of a sort too. I've
performed "Nights In White Satin" before, but I was
never really that enthused to do so as trying to
play that lovely flute part on harmonica didn't
work for me. Turns out a lonely sounding whistle
does! I'll be adding this to the list of "Ideas
to give to myself 20 years ago if I ever travel
back in time". And yes, if you request a song,
and it's a song I like, I *will* play it for you,
someday... This was something from a festival last
fall. Then the other debut: I'm not sure if I've
ever actually performed "Fotheringay" live. Maybe
at Pennsic? Anyway, the reason is that the arrangement
is still a bit of a work in progress, but it being
Sandy Denny's birthday weekend, it made perfect sense
to honour a request for it. Even with more work to
do, it sounded nice, so I'll complete the assignment
offline, and re-re-(re?)-debut again sometime.

There were, as always, other excellent requests as
well. And as Elvis would say to everyone who tuned
in (if *he* gave biweekly web-concerts:
"Thank You. Thank You very much"
This was a terriffic set to start off 2022!
