I'd been looking forward to my first performance in this
venue, and alas the first attempt had to be cancelled at
the last minute due to The Plague. But we picked an
excellent occasion to reschedule.

There was a fine turnout too!

A singular highlight for me was being reminded that
March 16th is "World Contact Day", dedicated to the
singular activity of Mankind taking a moment to reach
out with their thoughts to call benevolent alien space
travellers to come visit us. There's even a theme song
for it, "Calling Occupants" by the band Klaatu, which
is a song from the 70's with a spectular, cool, and
somewhat wacky history. Being a huge fan of the song
and the band from the time I was 13, I could not
resist doing a small "Alien Space Visitor Set" to
mark the occasion. And what better place than at
a place called "Hyperspace"? What can I say other than:
  "I want to believe"?

I got to cover some of my favourites, play some
classics, and some requests. This was a great set
no matter how you slice it... well... maybe too
short.

Thanks everyone who came out thanks to Rhianwen for
hosting me! And thanks for inviting me back!
I'll be there next Friday, April 26th for:
ARBOR DAY. Yep, a set of songs featuring TREES!

Oh, and lest I be remiss, I want to give a shoutout
to our housemate, Elena, who performed a short set
on her harp as I took a short break. _She'll_ be
there again for a full set on May 4th. Congrats!

And one final shoutout to our friend Lauretta
who used to host me at Constellation Books back
in the day. After the show, she invited us out
for a FABULOUS dinner at a terrific Indian
Restaurant.

  It was a good day!
