A short time ago, a friend & one
time hero/role model of mine passed
away: Don Stallone. He was a founding
member of a local band called Clam
Chowder. He and his fellow bandmates
were an absolute inspiration to me
when I was a musical beginner. Each
of them at times, have generously
encouraged, advised, taught, mentored,
me and helped shape my own repertoire
and the musician that I became. I
now share about 61 songs with them,
many of which I heard from them for
the first time! So tonight was
my thank you and rememberance
of Don, where I marked and sang
songs that featured him and his
playing.
  Confession: I snuck one in!
"Ranchin' In The Evening" is a
song that, along with "Son Of A
Scoundrel", was in a movie called
Ned Kelly. Both were written by
Shel Silverstein. The Clams
used to do "Son Of A Scoundrel",
which inspired me to track
down the movie, which then
turned me on to "Ranchin' In
The Evening", a song that I
felt that the Clams *should* have
done.

Thanks to everybody who tuned in.
My next webconcert is
Thursday, March 19th
That will be my belated "St Patricks Day"
show. I hope you can tune in.
